3 year and 2 year MSU Campus Based Scholarships

The Department of Military Science offers campus-based scholarship opportunities to students who are not already on scholarship or contracted with the US Army. There are 3, 2.5 and 2 year scholarships available to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of contracting
  • Must meet the Army Height/Weight standard according to AR 670-1
  • Must pass the Army Physical Fitness Test according to AR 670-1
  • Must pass a DODMERB medical physical
  • Must have no civil convictions
  • Must be in good standing with the Department of Military Science

We also have scholarships for students in Nursing, STEM, liberal arts and for graduate students. Students can compete for these scholarships by participating in all ROTC related events and extracurricular activities. A student's GPA and physical fitness will also determine if he/she is eligible or competitive for a scholarship. The instructors for each class create an order of merit list of students laying the groundwork for working toward an ROTC scholarship. For more information regarding these campus-based scholarship opportunities, please contact Mr. Robert Sullivan, the Scholarship & Enrollment Officer at (517) 353-3484, or via email at sull77@msu.edu.
