CPT Evgeny Sarychev
CPT Evgeny Sarychev enlisted in the Army in 2010 after graduating from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. He served as an artilleryman from 2010 to 2013 and was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011-2012 with 1st Battalion 77th Field Artillery Regiment, 172nd Separate Infantry Brigade out of Schweinfurt, Germany. In 2013, CPT Sarychev successfully completed the Civil Affairs Assessment and Selection and graduated from the Civil Affairs Qualification Course in 2014. As a Civil Affairs NCO with Bravo Company, 92nd Civil Affairs Battalion out of Fort Bragg, NC, he was deployed twice to support missions under Special Operations Command Europe. CPT Sarychev was commissioned as an Engineer Officer in 2018 after completing the Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, GA and served his first assignment with the 15th Engineer Battalion in Grafenwoehr, Germany in 2018-2022. During his initial assignment, CPT Sarychev served as a construction engineer Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and the Battalion Construction Management Officer. CPT Sarychev’s most recent assignment was as an Army Recruiting Company Commander in the East Bay area, California in 2023-2025. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in Political Science and Economics.
