The Army ROTC Spartan Battalion RSO

Cadet-led funding fuels the diverse initiatives and programs that drive the ROTC experience. Through allocated resources, ROTC cadets take ownership of their leadership journey, crafting impactful experiences for themselves and their peers.

To request funds please follow these steps:

  1. All fund requests must be pre-approved by the Spartan Battalion RSO BEFORE expenditure/purchase is incurred/made
  2. Complete request form Spartan Battalion RSO Request Form and email it with itemized receipt(s) to Spartan Battalion RSO President, Madelyn Llyod at lloydm10@msu.edu. Incomplete forms without receipts will be declined.
  3. To comply with MSU Policy, all requests for funds require submission to the Spartan Battalion RSO within 90 days of the transaction/purchase date. Those not submitted within 90 days will NOT be reimbursed.

What is the Spartan Battalion Registered Student Organization?

The Spartan Battalion Registered Student Organization is a volunteer group of enrolled Military Science/Army ROTC students organized to promote and blend the Army Values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, integrity, and personal courage with the Spartan Values of individual strength, collective power, and extraordinary achievement. Through educational, training and philanthropic activities, Spartan Battalion RSO members develop leadership skills to serve in the Active Army, become civil servants, private business owners, or leaders in private industry.
