SFC Henry Gonzales


Sergeant First Class Henry Gonzales is a native of Texas. He joined the Army in April of 2011 as an infantryman and completed One Unit Station Training at Fort Benning, GA. He has operated in Airborne, Stryker and Armored Brigade Combat Teams and has served in multiple positions as a Brigade Operations Assistant, Bradley Crew member (Driver and Gunner), MK-19 Gunnner on a Stryker, Squad leader, Drill Sergeant/ Senior Drill Sergeant, and Platoon Sergeant. 

SFC Gonzales served in 1st Armored Division (2011-2014), 4th Infantry Division (2014-2017), 2nd Infantry Division (2017-2019), 1st Calvary Division (2019-2021), Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (2021-2023) and most recently, 82nd ABN DIV (2023-2026). SFC Gonzales has participated in Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan shield) and Korea Rotational Force.

Sergeant First Class Gonzales’ military education includes Airborne School, Warrior Leader Course, National Training Center Observer/Controller Course, Advanced Leader Course, U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, Maneuver Senior Leader Course, and Air Assault School.  SFC Gonzales’ awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Army Commendation medal (4 OLC), the Army Achievement medal (9 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (4th award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Korea Defense Service medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with Numeral 2), Army Service Ribbon, Drill Sergeant Badge, The Airborne Badge, the Air Assault badge, and the Expert Infantryman Badge

He has been happily married to his wife Blake Gonzales for 6 years and has four children.
