SSG Tanner Hitchcock

SSG Tanner Hitchcock is the National Guard Career Liaison and Recruiter for Michigan State University and the Spartan Battalion. SSG Hitchcock began his career in 2015 as a Military Policeman (31B). From 2015-2021 he was assigned to the 46th Military Police Company in Corunna, MI. During his time with the 46th, he took orders to NAS Corpus Christi, TX, serving as Auxiliary Security Forces, deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and mobilized to Kenosha, WI in support of peacekeeping efforts during civil protests. SSG Hitchcock was assigned to the 1776th Military Police Company in 2022 serving as a squad leader and Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor (INIWIC). SSG Hitchcock began his Active Guard Reserve (AGR) career with the Michigan Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion in 2024 where he currently serves as the Michigan State University National Guard Liaison. SSG Hitchcock is married to Sara Hitchcock.
