Major General Steve L. Repichowski

Steve L. Repichowski graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts degree in industrial production in 1964 and received his commission as a field artillery officer. Upon completion of the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, his initial assignment was as an assistant S-4, 5-32d FA, Fort Riley, Kansas. In January of 1966, he began a tour of duty in the Republic of Vietnam, first as a forward observer and then later as a battery executive officer for the 1-77 FA. Returning to the United States in January 1967, then 1st Lieutenant Repichowski served as chief, Automatic Weapons Committee, AIT, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Following his release from active duty, Major General Repichowski began a thirty-year career in the United States Army Reserve. Throughout his demanding career, he excelled in a variety of assignments of increasing responsibility. He served as commander for the 4-20th FA Battalion and the 5064th U.S. Army Garrison. He culminated his military career as commanding general of the 123d United States Army Reserve Command.

Major General Repichowski’s civilian career was similarly out-standing as a senior engineer with Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac/Lansing Automotive.

In recognition of the great credit his exemplary service, superior leadership, and dedication to duty has brought to Michigan State University and the United State Army, Major General Steve L. Repichowski is inducted into the MSU Army ROTC Hall of Fame, this twenty-eighth day of April nineteen hundred and ninety-eight, in the one hundred thirteenth year of Military Science at MSU.
