Clubs & Groups

Participation is optional, growth is certain

There are many extracurricular opportunities within the Spartan Battalion for our Cadets to reinforce leadership and individual skills, group participation, and earn points to compete for active duty and branch choice.

Color Guard

Cadets who participate in the Spartan Battalion Color Guard have the opportunity to play a central role in many events such as the annual Homecoming Parade, Veterans Day Ceremonies, the annual MSU ROTC Military Ball and multiple home NCAA sporting events for football, men’s and women’s basketball, ice hockey, and others.

Endurance

The Spartan Battalion Endurance Club is an organization consisting of Cadets ranging from freshman to seniors in Army ROTC. The focus is to enhance running capabilities through an intensely focused mileage running program.

Marksmanship Club

The Michigan State University Army ROTC Marksmanship Team is an extracurricular club comprised of cadets who are passionate about marksmanship and competition shooting.

Pathfinders

The Pathfinders meet each Wednesday and its charter provides for the development of members' individual land navigation skills, and leadership abilities.

Social Media

The Spartan Battalion Social Media Club's main mission is to foster communication and facilitate information about the MSU Army ROTC Program. Club members design and distribute monthly newsletters, engage with broad audiences and livestream Army ROTC events and activities in real time.
