MS 110 (Fall Semester), Army Leadership and Officer Development
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to duties and responsibilities of the Army officer and non-commissioned officer. Organizational structure of the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. The Army's role in joint operations. Introduction to Army values, leadership, customs, and traditions.
Major topics include:
- Succeeding as a Member of an Organization
- Goal Setting, Stress Management
- Army Organization and Rank Structure
- Roles of Non-Commissioned and Commissioned Officers
- Drill and Ceremony
- Army Uniforms
There is a Lab associated for this class. Students are required to register for MS110 and MS110 Lab
MS 120 (Spring Semester), Introduction to Army Leadership and Problem Solving
This course is designed to give students a working knowledge of the fundamentals of basic Army leadership, the military problem solving process, and military briefing and writing skills. Also, goal setting, time management and an introduction to the Army's developmental counseling program are covered.
